Ghosts On The Train
The Galveston Railroad Museum is a really wonderful place to visit if you ever find yourself that way. I share my youngest’s affinity for trains and anything of a bygone era is always of deep interest to me.
Walking some of the older train cars and seeing the slow, gentle decay of them, frozen in time like that, delivered a distinctly eerie feeling (which is another thing I enjoy so this place checks all the boxes).
On one train in particular, each old car was filled with these life-size plaster models of train passengers and this ignited all my senses of a good horror story. One of the guides there said these were the ghosts of the train, still waiting for their stop. Now just imagine if, as you walked by them, one of them moved. 2024.
