Valerie Gonzalez Street is an artist, a writer and an avid learner of photography, a medium she first picked up seventeen years ago.
She is also the co-host of Don’t Watch at Night, a new podcast dedicated to Latine horror film and books. Valerie is the author of Soil Of The Gone and The Home State, both of which are available now. Prior to all that, she worked in early childhood education and then within Texas state government. She continues to do volunteer work in voter rights advocacy in the state of Texas (no easy task!) and she lives just outside of Austin, Texas with her husband, her children and her dog, Luna.
Through every creation she makes she is forever teaching herself that the unique quality of everything is frequently unveiled along the way. Both in art and life. - 2023
